Prior to opening the agency, I started with Allstate Insurance in 1979. Allstate provided me an excellent education and foundation to do what I am doing today; however, had a fundamentally different approach. The Allstate approach is what the insurance industry refers to as a direct writer, meaning that if the client did not fit the mold of the company, I had to say goodbye to my client. This approach was contrary to my belief that I worked for my clients, and ultimately led me to start my own independent agency in 1981 with my wife, Joan.


Over the past 40+ years, Joan and I built an independent agency with the divine help of Our Lord Jesus Christ. I know exactly when and where I was when I looked up in the sky on a dark winter night, after Joan had informed me the water department had just turned off the water because we could not pay the bill, asking for His intercession in my life and our small business. I truly believe that God heard my prayers and has blessed us and our business a thousand fold. We remain blessed and thankful for His intercession and dedicated to the clients that we have been honored to work with over the years.
